Webinar with the theme “Actuarial Management in Insurance Business Facing IFRS 17”

As a series of activities to celebrate the 28th Anniversary of PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia (Nasional Re), on Thursday, August 11, 2022 a webinar was held with the theme "Actuarial Management in Insurance Business Facing IFRS 17". The seminar which aims to improve literacy in the management of the insurance business, especially role of actuaries in preparing and facing the challenges and opportunities that exist. Webinar opens with remarks by Mr. Achmad Sudiyar Dalimunthe, President Director of Nasional Re and continued with a keynote speech from Mr. Ogi Prastomiyono, Chief Executive of Financial Services Authority (OJK) non-bank financial industry Supervisor.

Speakers in this webinar are professionals in their fields, namely Mr. Rianto Ahmadi, Technical Director of Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) and Mr. Ahmad Nasrullah, Head of Financial Services Authority (OJK) non-bank financial industry 2A Supervision Department, by Ms. Panny Desalasiyanti, Chair of Life Insurance & Practice Standards Commission Indonesian Actuary Association (PAI), act as moderator.

This activity was attended by 355 (three hundred and fifty five) participants who are representatives of business partners, regulators and national insurance associations. Through this seminar, we hope that participants can understand the importance of role of actuaries in insurance companies related to insurance product design, determining premium rates and product profitability, level of solvency and capital adequacy of company, valuation of company liabilities/technical reserves, as well as knowing obstacles, impacts and challenges that arise. will be faced with enactment of IFRS 17.
